Running Oct 23-Nov 15. Mary Zimmerman's mesmerizing take on the tale of Scheherezade is a wonderfully imaginative ode to the power storytelling itself. Othello by William Shakespeare. Running Nov 20-Dec 13. Shakespeare's overwhelming, powerful domestic tragedy about a great general who finally marries, but allows his love to be corrupted and destroyed. Marat/Sade by Peter Weiss. Running Jan 8-31. Weaving fundamentals of Bertolt Brecht and Artaud, Marat/Sade is a dangerous and immediate display of human conflict and strife that explores if the spark of change necessary for revolution comes from the society or from the individual. Closer by Patrick Marber. Running March 12- April 4. Four strangers find themselves bound together by the darker energies of love, tracing a path through the dangerous landscape of the human heart. Picasso at the Lapin Agile by Steve Martin. Running May 7-30. "Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso walk into a bar..." Steve Martin finishes off this joke with an imaginative, energetic comedy that beats with such life that it reaffirms his position as one of the funniest and most insightful people around.
